Size:Dimensions 120 x 130m The VanGuard 1109AML compound brightfield educational microscope has a monocular viewing head with a fixed 45-degree vertical inclination, 360-degree rotation capability, a magnification ability of up to 400X, and an iris diaphragm. This microscope, commonly used in educational and basic research applications, enhances the resolution of an object or image with its compound optical system. This microscope features Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) standard achromatic objective lenses, which correct for red and yellow chromatic aberrations. Adjustable resolution provides DIN-standard resolvant objective options of 4X, 10X, and 40X. Its optical system is fixed at 160 mm. Brightfield configuration and LED lighting control light from below, allowing a specimen to absorb light for clear illumination. The microscope has a 10X widefield eyepiece magnifier, which locks on to the unit for ease of operation, and provides 18 mm field distortion (FD). The unit adjusts light through a 0.65 numerical aperture (NA) Abbe condenser for higher resolution, and has an iris diaphragm to control light diameter. The condenser swings outward, and is focusable with a forward- positioned lever. The rectangular, fixed stage is chemical-resistant. Spring- loaded stage clips lock in place to secure specimens. The microscope has coarse and fine control focus adjustment mechanisms, and a focusing range of 40 mm. A slip-clutch mechanism protects gears from damage by allowing knobs to turn, even when the stage has reached upper or lower travel stops. The forward-pitch nosepiece has secure, positive stops, and three rotation positions to support a range of magnification. The microscope has a stain- resistant and durable cast metal body with an enamel finish, and anti-skid rubber feet to prevent slipping. It comes with a dust cover, extra fuses and instructions. The 1109AML microscope comes with five-year mechanical and optical warranties, and a one-year electrical warranty.
